Hiking Monadnock

A scout is kind.

The last outing I went on was the Hiking outing to Mount Monadnock, in New Hampshire. It was about an hour drive up, where we had dinner at a pizza place. When we got back we set up our tents and went to bed for an early morning. We woke up around 7:30 AM, and had oatmeal for breakfast, then started the hike up the mountain. I quickly realized that not many people brought two Nalgene worths water, and that they would run out on the way down. After we summited, about halfway down two other scouts were complaining that they had run out of water, and I had about half a Nalgene. I gave both of them half, and left none for me. I believe this is showing scout spirit because I was putting others before me.
