Annual Christmas Tree Sale 2001

By Nico

Working in the Christmas Tree lot involves many skills.  First we had to unpack all of the Christmas trees straight from Nova Scotia.  That took strength and a willingness to work together.  Then once we got it all organized, we signed up for 4 shifts.  Working in the lot is a little bit like camping because you have to make a fire to keep warm, you need to trim trees with saws, and you need to know your rope skills to tie them down.  But I guess you could say it is a little bit more like urban camping because you are working in the busy lot of Sudbury farms where there are many customers. I think all in all Sudbury troops succeeded in selling a lot of trees while still managing to have fun at the same time.
